Video nasties?

Hey everybody,
Halo 3

Have a good weekend? Anyone out paintballing? Sadly the Edinburgh Festival is pretty much over now, so things in the city are almost back to normal. Almost. Anyway, I was round at a mate’s last night and, for the first time in my life (amazingly) I sat and played a few video games with them while we waited for the takeaway to be delivered.

I don’t know how I’ve managed to avoid games for so long (I‘ve certainly mentioned them before), but I have to say the likes of Call of Duty and Halo were surprisingly good fun, not to mention hyper-realistic, but something just seemed missing. I’m keen to find out if paintball fans are generally gamers too, as to me there’s obviously a lot of similarities, but at the same time huge differences in the action/adventure stakes.

So, do you enjoy video games in the same way you enjoy paintball?

I love video games. How can you not like the classic war/marker games of Halo and Call of Duty? 😮

I love video games to but they are not really the same. In a way it would be like saying that playing tennis on the wii is the same as playing it on the court.

But tennis isn’t fun on either the wii or in real life…

I would say it depends how in you are in the game… If you are in the zone and totally focused on tactics and so on paintball and videogames can feel similar. And the camaraderie can be similar.

  • This is top-notch! I wonder how much effort and time you have spent to come up with these informative posts. Should you be interested in generating more ideas about Thai-Massage, take a look at my website FQ5
